Sorry to have disappeared from the blogosphere for a while. The holidays were lovely and stressful all at the same time. I am thankful that Ben now has Thanksgiving, Christmas, his birthday, and New Years all behind him. Speaking of new years, hopefully this one will be the best in one in 23 years for him! Keep praying Dallas! My visit with Ben last week was good. A blessing as always to speak with him. I do have a comment on the Dallas County Jails again . . .  OMG ya’ll! Locked away in a very small cell and Ben last week passed on his opportunity to get some fresh air and a change of scenery because it’s too cold to go outside with barely anything on. I understand that coats and blankets would be a legistical nightmare but when there are reports on the news that you shouldnt take your pet out because within 30 minutes they could get really sick from the cold – we expect imates to brave the 20 degree weather for longer than that and if they choose not to they dont see the light of day for another grossly extended period of time. It just seems wrong Dallas! Another random point – many visits ago I think i forgot to blog about this but the elevators were having problems and only one was working and at the end of the visit it was taking forever and of course the light on the call button is broken so one never knows if it was coming or not so someone tried the stairs (as in incase of a fire use the stairs) – LOCKED- I get this to a point, there could be security issues with people hiding in stairwells etc (isnt that what cameras are for) but if there is our safety depending on the stairwell being somehow unlocked and our faith put in a system that failed inspection multiple times in a row? Anyway, crazy busy lately but I will try not to be a stranger. Stay well Dallas.
